Just Finished Reading

Bill Bryson’s At Home: a Short History of Private Life reveals an extraordinary wealth of information about our social history, even prehistory, while taking us on a room-by-room tour of his Victorian house in the British countryside.  Written with a lot of humor and a little hyperbole, the book shows that so much of what we have perfected, invented and discovered over time has been about home… making more comfortable, safer and more beautiful homes.
